THESE WORKOUTS SUSPENDED UNTIL NEXT WINTER

“…the more you try to avoid suffering, the more you suffer…” – Thomas Merton

In other words, hill repeats, though a temporary suffer-fest, will make you stronger, faster, meaner, and better. And who’d want to avoid that?!

Now that your brain has convinced your body to throw itself into the fire, come join the Wanderers Sundays at 9:30 am for a gooooood kind of burn.

Weekly hill repeat sessions have begun, starting at 9:30 am from the Valley Green Inn (map »). Are you ready for the challenge?

We tackle the infamous “Pee Hill” (just to the left of the Inn) first. The proceed to “Buck Hill” (near the end of the far parking lot). Turn around, up, and back as many times as you brain wills your legs to move (but hopefully before you puke)!

Though we talk a tough game, this is a completely no-pressure, come-as-you-are workout. Run some hills, run some flat, whatever gets you through. After a few weeks, you will emerge a renewed, fierce running beast…able to tackle any terrain!

Seriously though, you will be amazed at how much this improves your fitness for whatever you’re training for. We will go for approximately an hour, and then comes the best part…breakfast!! Afterwards, we’ll head to a local diner to reward ourselves with waffles, omelets and other assorted feel-good foods. Then, go home and take a nap (post-stretching, of course)!

This will be a regular weekly workout (barring a Pretzel City trail race

[Chilly Cheeks, Ugly Mudder, etc.]. Cancellations will be posted on our FaceBook group page.

Hope to see you one of these Sundays !
