The Valley Green Inn

The Valley Green Inn (website ») is, and for over a century has been, one of the most beloved places in Fairmount Park. What's not to love? The place offers great food, welcoming porches in the summer, warm fireplaces in the winter, and an unparalleled setting. And over the years, the VGI has been great to the Wanderers and other recreational users of the park by providing them with a place to recharge regardless their 'condition' after their workouts. On Thursday nights after the weekly Wanderer trail workout, Wanderers enjoy food provided by the Inn at the bar while catching up with each other.

The Food Network ranks this Inn's brunch as one of "the best"! Experience the hospitality that makes visiting this last remaining roadhouse in the Wissahickon such a favorite Philadelphia tradition.
