Please Join Wanderers Every 4th Saturday to Help Restore the Park!Wanderers are urged to participate in trail maintenance volunteering efforts every 4th Saturday of the month. The exact location, driving directions, and timing will be posted on the Wanderers site (see link above) a few days prior. The Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) and the Philadelphia Mountain Bike Association (PMBA) jointly organize monthly trail maintenance projects. (PMBA is part of the Intl. Mtn. Bike Assoc. or IMBA). Please consider joining fellow Wanderers to work with these groups on their monthly work days. These trail maintencance days are designed for people of all abilities and interests and are designed to be a fun and learning experience for all. Some people like to haul rocks and dirt but equally important, we also need people to help pick up trash, transplant trees, rake, remove invasive species, etc. Dozens of people typically show up and it is a fun experience all around.
