The Wissahickon Wanderers will be once more working in the trenches at the upcoming Philadelphia Marathon on November 18. The Wanderers will be running the water station at the 18/22 mile mark of the race, which has been our customary spot for many years. To properly staff the site, about 60 volunteers will be needed. NOTE: unlike previous years, volunteers must sign up in advance.

Please contact Dan Gordon to sign up as a volunteer or to get more information.  The hours are flexible.  Come for an hour or two or come for the entire session, which should be about six hours.  The Philadelphia Marathon organization is promising hoodies for all volunteers

NOTE: the water table has moved towards Manayunk 1/2 mile, in front of Duron Paints, across from Tommy Gunn’s, due to course changes. View the map » (note: this is the same location as the last two years but different from previous years)
