It's the Wissahickon Wanderers versus
the Crossfit Philly gym to determine fitness superiority in Mt. Airy once
and for all.
The clash started when Coach Pamela at Crossfit recently
challenged the Wanderers' own Susan
Hurrey to perform seven pull-ups. If
Susan can perform this feat by April 5, Pamela promised to
run in the Broad Street Run.
The confrontation then heated
up when Coach Jason at Crossfit used the “L” word
(lollygaggers) to describe the Wanderers. Defending the
honor of the Wanderers, Carnage challenged Jason to go “mano
a mano” in a two-phased competition, pull-ups followed
by a three minute rest then pushups. Coach Jason will
be wearing a 20-pound vest for the pull-ups and a 40-pound
vest for the pushups. This head to head competition will
also be held on April 5.
“Wanderers have nothing to fear,” said Carnage. “Susan
and I will not let the team down.”
