Wanderers Ramble Through England

The Wissahickon Wanderers opened their rambling division with a five-day hike across East Anglia in England in mid-August.
Participating in the 100-mile hike were Simon Newman, Sally Gordon, and Dan Gordon. After almost a year on the injured list, Simon looked extremely sharp during the hike.
The Wanderers started their ramble in Suffolk, and proceeded on footpaths along the North Sea coast for three days before turning inland for two days to follow the medieval Weavers Way in Norfolk. In the process, our pilgrims prevailed over stinging nettles, slippery tussocks, uncharacteristic English heat, and characteristic English rain. To properly record the hike, a photo journal was compiled by the Wanderers and accompanies this story.
The Wanderers are eyeing the Pyrannees mountains for their next ramble in the summer of 2002.
