Branca Reaches For The Skies

The 3-person Wanderers relay team finished a strong second in the 53-story Cystic Fibrosis Stair Climb on February 29. The time was almost fast enough to beat an elevator at the Mellon Bank Building in Philadelphia...6 minutes and 3 seconds. Kristina Butcher got the Wanderers off to a great start bagging the first 17 floors before handing off to Fred Kenney. Fred kept up the pace and then handed off to stair climbing maven Mike Branca on floor 34 to finish off the job. The Cystic Fibrosis race marks the end of the stair climbing season for Mike, who earlier distinguished himself in the Empire Stair Building climb.
