Strong Wanderer Performances At Distance Run

September 18, 2004 – In sharp contrast to the previous day’s weather, the Philadelphia Distance Run featured ideal running conditions.

Many Wanderers took advantage of the conditions to post strong performances. Leading the way was Jeff Hayes who finished fourth in his age group in a time of 1:16:26. Chris Moore turned in a strong effort with a time of 1:26:36. Megan Boyle ran a steady 2:11:27.

This year, for the first time, the Wissahickon Wanderers entered a Masters Women’s team. This solid team consisted of Barbara Gorka (1:35:12), Theresa Hartzell (1:32:58), Mary Pat McFarland (1:39:28), and Mary Lund (1:40:06).
