Bike Rides to Commence on Saturdays

paul molino from Bike AddictsA great opportunity for bike riders is now happening on Saturday mornings at 9 am. Starting on Saturday, November 25, Philadelphia biking maestro Paul Molino will be conducting a group bicycle ride starting in Roxborough. The rides will be about one hour to one hour and a half in length, and are geared to the enthusiastic recreational rider, but not the racer.

The rides will start from the Bike Addicts store on 5548 Ridge Avenue in Roxborough every Saturday during the winter months.

“There are a number of group rides in Philadelphia, but they are usually comprised or hard core bikers, and the rides end up becoming competitive,” said Paul. “I want to encourage the more recreational bicycler who wants to get good exercise, but to have the rides be safe and fun.”

Philadelphia has a number of really good bike shops owners and operators. But Paul is at the very top of the list. Paul has the unqualified Wanderers endorsement having outfitted and helped over the years a range of club members from Petra, to Bin Ruiter to Carnage. Paul has been a fixture on the Philadelphia biking scene for almost 20 years, and here is why he is the best. Paul is incredibly knowledgable, and makes the extra effort. He actually has taken customers out on rides to make sure they use equipment properly. He knows everything about bicycles and biking. Paul is incredibly honest. The rides are free. Paul is doing this because he loves bicycling and wants to turn other people on to the sport. Paul is extremely safety conscious. He knows all the roads and the routes, and watches riders like a hawk.

Paul’s rides are ideal for Wanderers or other runners who want to develop their riding abilities or are training for triathlons.

The rides will start from the Bike Addicts store on 5548 Ridge Avenue in Roxborough every Saturday during the winter months. Once spring arrives, the time for the rides will probably be shifted to a weekday night. Because of the winter weather conditions, attendence for the Saturday rides might be light during the upcoming months. But by spring, the rides should really be going strong. E-mail addresses will be imperative for people joining the Saturday rides in case of cancellations due to poor weather.

Bide Addicts is a great little bicycle shop. Some days it is a little hard to tell. If it is a beautiful day, Paul might be out biking and have the shop closed. Among his various other attributes, Paul is wary of burglars, and moves all his bicycles to the cellar when he is closed, sometimes giving the impression that the store is not in business. But don’t worry, this is the way Paul has been doing business for almost 20 years, and he has an incredibly loyal customer base.

For more information, contact Paul at the store 215-487-3006 or at pmolino@bikeaddicts.com or Carnage.
