Wanderers Explore Grand Canyon

Wanderers Chris Verry and Polly Jansen ventured out to the Grand Canyon for a week’s vacation in July, and produced a fabulous photo album.  A few of their pictures are featured here.  Polly filed the following report:

“We hiked down two different trails to the river and back, each in one day which they tell you not to do,” she reported.  “Ah, we like a challenge!”

“We also went up to Glen Canyon for a day and kayaked and swam in Lake Powell.  It was a nice change of scenery and so hard to leave.”

With his cowboy hat on, Chris was given the name Mountain Man.  But Kenny, as in Kenny Chesney, would also work or maybe just plain old  Tex. 

Polly and Chris are now safely back in Philadelphia and preparing for the Half Wit Half Marathon on August 12.
