We just completed the New Balance Shoes May Trail series, and it was the most successful ever, with almost 60 runners in one of the races.
Many thanks to course directors Bob Reynolds, Chris Moore, Alon Abramson and Doug Dubrosky and to Fred Kenney and the Fast Cat sports group for timing the races.
Race #4 (5/23)
Race #3 (5/16)
Race #2 (5/9)
From the race’s director, Doug Dubrosky: “Nearly 40 runners survived a 3.8-mile course featuring several off-trail sections and a minor creek crossing. Great to see many new and enthusiastic faces. And all were able to navigate the full course despite the absence of race markings at a critical turn (I swear it was properly marked at 6 PM). Surprisingly, only a few bloody legs were observed crossing the finish line. Special thanks to Fast Cat Timing for professionally managing the finish results and New Balance for the generous post-race raffle prizes.”
Sorry. no photos were taken during this race.

From Race Director Bob Reynolds (from Facebook):
Thanks to everyone who participated in last night’s trail race. We sent 39 out into the woods and they all came back – and there were no broken bones or bloody knees! And congrats to Jonathan Cornibe and Kristin Zielinski our winners. Thank you to Christopher Moore for helping mark the course, Polly Jansen for sweeping and Fred Kenney and Pat Barrett from Fast Cat for handling the results in a quick and efficient manner and Joanna Sinclair for helping with the finish line and Susan Hurrey for just being who she is and knowing what she knows… Join us next Thursday at the same time for a different course.
