Brooke Hunter reviews her awesome performance with Simon Newman after the Philadelphia Marathon.

Wanderers Conquer Philly Marathon
The morning of November 19 broke out cold and gray for the Philadelphia Marathon. But the five-member Wissahickon Wanderers team was red hot out on the course. First across the finish line was Brooke Hunter in a record Wanderer time of 3 hours and 44 minutes. Brooke started fast, and just kept getting faster.

Kim Pierce, in her debut Wanderer performance, chugged through the course in a very respectable four hours.

Scott Quitel is all smiles as he passes the 20 mile mark.

Scott Quitel set some type of endurance record by completing a month of marathon madness in which he ran the Marine Corps, the New York City marathon, as well as the Philadelphia marathon. Scott ran the Philadelphia marathon in a personal best of 4 hours and 20 minutes.

Sally Gordon and Tanina Rostain, in their long awaited marathon debuts, ran stride for stride over the course to complete the race in under five hours.

Supporting the runners throughout the race was the Technovan driven by Simon Newman and Dan Gordon. While the Technovan itself operated faultlessly providing both cold drinks and warm bagels for the runners, staffing again seemed to be a problem. Runners passed one critical checkpoint which turned out to be unattended because the support staff was enjoying café au lait and croissants at the local Starbucks.
