Wanderers produced some solid performances in the Phildelphia Distance Run on September on September 20. Leading the pack was Phil Ranly in 1:26:34.
Mr. Consistency Paul Hines finished in 1:33:15. Scott McCracken was very speedy as well finishing in 1:40:12. Cee Heard broke two hours completing the half marathon course in 1:56:05. Cee was the lone Wanderer woman in the race.
Rounding out the Wanderers line-up was Dennis Crowne and Ken Evans. Crownie was clocked ion 2:21:15, and Ken was not far behind in 2:23:03.
More than 13,000 runners competed in the race, which was held under sunny blue skies. The men’s winner was Yirefu Birhanu of Ethiopia in 1:01:23, while Lillya Shobukhova captured the women’s division in 1:100:21.
