Nicole Saint-Louis (left in photo) needs our help!! She has entered the Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco on October 19. She is participating in the Team in Training program to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).
To sponsor Nicole’s effort and to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, go to her fund raising web site pages.teamintraining.org/epa/nikesf08/nlouis
Nicole knows first hand the great work that the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society does. “Through working patients at the Hospital of the U. of Pennsylvania (HUP) for the past 10 years and now as a social worker on the oncology floor, I have been inspired by our patients’ stories to do a little extra for those with the disease,” she said.
Nicole has logged a number of races as a Wanderer including the Philadelphia Distance Run. However, the marathon in San Francisco will be her biggest challenge so far. “This will be my first full marathon—UGGH!!,” she reported. “I have to begin training NOW!” Nicole has been running with Melanie and Leslie to get ready. But she has moved downtown and is no longer able to train as much in the Wissahickon.
Please spread the word so that we can help Nicole raise money for LLS. No contribution is too small. “I appreciate any little bit that you can give to this cause.“
